What will you do? 

In this exciting role, you will drive the growth of our rental activities both in the Netherlands and abroad, with a primary focus on the Dutch market. You'll actively seek out new customers, expand our client portfolio, and support the development of new projects by providing both technical and commercial expertise—this is your top priority. If time allows, you will also support our existing clients.

Thinking along with customers is key to being a successful Sales Engineer. Together with the client, you'll analyze their needs and define solutions. Your technical knowledge, combined with close collaboration with your colleagues, will enable you to convince customers to choose our comprehensive solution for their applications.

During the sales process, you’ll communicate with various decision-makers and work closely with other rental colleagues.

In this role, you will report to the Technical Sales Manager of ECO.

A snapshot of your responsibilities

  • Managing and growing your client portfolio.
  • Identifying new customers and applications for our steam, hot water, and warm water rental fleet, and making them profitable.
  • Identifying customer needs, exploring on-site possibilities, and translating these needs into rental solutions.
  • Benchmarking our market position, including competitor analysis, and identifying new profitable market segments for action.
  • Preparing and submitting competitive offers using targeted tools and thoroughly following up on received orders.
  • Ensuring that all incoming inquiries and orders are managed quickly and efficiently.
  • Regularly visiting clients to assess their requirements and ensure a high standard of customer service at all times.
  • Handling administrative tasks and participating in sales meetings and events.

What do we expect from you?

  • You have a technical (HBO) degree or equivalent experience. Specific knowledge of industrial (rental) activities and/or steam/heat is a plus.
  • You possess strong communication skills and take a structured approach to achieving your goals. You are fluent in Dutch and English; German is a plus.
  • Experience with CRM tools and MS Office is required.
  • You’re a determined individual who isn’t intimidated by cold acquisition and demonstrates entrepreneurial spirit and strong networking skills.
  • As an experienced negotiator, you persuade with integrity and professionalism, positioning yourself as a trusted partner for your clients. Your independence and proactive attitude make you successful in your role.
